AIER findings are from a 2016 study conducted by Nielsen for Amway India, surveying 10,809 final-year undergraduate students from 28 cities and 28 small towns/rural areas across 21 Indian states. The report aims to understand and analyze the students’ attitude towards entrepreneurship in India. Findings from the report found that 61 percent of students in India consider entrepreneurship as a ‘good prospect’ to earn a livelihood.

The AIER report helps to examine entrepreneurial confidence, acting as a catalyst and resource for government agencies, nonprofit organizations and businesses to cultivate small business growth. By analyzing both entrepreneurial confidence and startup readiness, the country can use the data to attract and retain young business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.
