Purchasing Products
All Amway Business Owners purchase products directly from Amway.

Bonus Payment
Bonuses and commissions are paid directly to the Amway Business Owner who has earned the bonus/commission. Bonus payments are paid by bank transfer only.

PV/BV Transfers
PV/BV transfers are not available.

Retail margin or mark up for Amway products averages about 30% but varies with each product.

how to start

The new Amway Business Owner or Special Member has to pay a registration fee of 30,- Euro (including tax). He may also order additional products by adding the items to the order form. If first order is within the first 10 days and a minimum of 100 PV, the registration fee is free.

To register with Amway Austria, prospects may use the official Internet site www.amway.at where the applicant completes the Registration Form. The new Amway Business owner or Special Member is registered at that moment and he/she can buy products on-line.

The Registration Form must be printed and signed by the applicant and submitted to Amway within the first 30 days.

Business Type

Amway Business Owner (ABO)
This is the business builder, eligible to register other Amway Business Owners, merchandise, receive Performance Volume Bonuses, Service Commissions and take advantage of all the benefits of owning an Amway business.

SM – Special Member
SM will enjoy a variety of benefits such as products and services at a SM price. SM will not merchandise, he/she can register others but receive no Performance Volume Bonuses and Service Commissions. SM does have to renew his/her business.

Marketing Advisor
A status which allows European Platinum and above to sponsor and purchase products for personal consumption in other Marketing Advisor Markets (MAM) without maintaining a formal, legal presence there while maintaining the same benefits of the Sales and Marketing plan as a multiple business. It does not provide for combining volumes between markets for purposes of bonus calculations.

Eligibility:
Platinum Pin and above in any of the European markets listed below. Diamond Pin in any existing Amway market that has multiple businesses in any of the markets participating in the program.

Participating Markets:
If you have a traditional Amway business and local address in one of the below countries (home market) you can have businesses in the remaining countries (marketing advisor countries) as a Marketing Advisor.

Austria, Hungary, Netherlands/Belgium, Spain/Portugal, Germany/France, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia, Romania, Scandinavia (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden), Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

Benefits:
– Receive individual MAM commission in your home country in home currency
– Minimal business and tax registration and reporting requirements
– Maintain and develop lines of sponsorship within each market
– Renewing business in the home country will automatically renew your Marketing Advisor Businesses
– LOS information and bonus statements will be available online
– You will continue to be recognised in the Marketing Advisor Markets for your achievements

Activities Allowed as a Marketing Advisor:
– Sponsoring & Demonstration of Sales and Marketing Plan
– Speaking Engagements

Activities not permitted as a Marketing Advisor:
– Purchasing and Retailing products
– Travel to the market more than 8 days out of 90

Establish a Second Business

International Sponsoring/Multiple Businesses
International sponsoring is always an option and an excellent means of expanding your business while avoiding many of the costs and complexities associated with establishing a second business. Please note: For those markets where foreigners are able to establish a second business (multiple business), they must be the international sponsor of their second business in another country.

ABOs may establish a multiple business when they meet the contractual requirements of the respective market. When registering a multiple business in a European market from a market outside Europe. ABOs in general need to be qualified at Platinum level or meet one of the following exceptions: (1) be resident in the target market or (2) have a close family member in the target market. This also applies to European ABOs who want to set up a multiple business outside Europe. In addition, Amway recommends taking the multiple business certificate. In some markets, additional conditions may apply.

Within Europe, the above mentioned conditions do not apply.

Establishment of a second/multiple business also involves complex business and legal issues. Amway Business Owners should always contact the affiliate and obtain the advice of a local attorney before attempting to establish a second business.

Business Entities
Amway Business Owners may establish a multiple business in Austria. The most common form of business is Sole Proprietorship. If you wish to operate in a form other than a Sole Proprietorship, you should contact the affiliate to discuss Amway’s policy concerning the formation of the business entity.

Visa Requirements
Any foreign citizen residing and working in Austria (except for EU citizens) must obtain a Residence Permit. The standard Residence Permit does not allow trade and business activities therefore, the foreigner must apply for a Residence Permit that allows such activities. This activity should be limited to a specific type of business. Work Permits are also needed for foreigners.

Valid for non-EU citizens:
They need a Work Permit and a Residence Permit
The Work Permit is not necessary if they have an unlimited Residence Permit or a Residence authorization

The Austria Consulate in your country of Residence should be contacted in advance to obtain a general idea of the appropriate immigration requirements for your business purposes. Distributors must consult experts in the country to obtain advice on appropriate immigration requirements. Consulting an expert is also important, if you do not intend to reside there.

Business Owner Registration Requirements
Registration requirements include:

1) Trade certificate – Application form needed.
2) Local Address
3) Local Bank Account

Please note: Everyone who starts a business in Austria, starts as a Special Member. Therefore fewer requirements needed for the registration (Local Address, Email address, etc).

Code numbers are obtained by:
– Amway Business Owner /Special Member will receive the personal code number by E-Mail.

– Amway Business Owner/ Special Member need to inform Amway Germany if they have lost their code numbers for a replacement.

– Code numbers can be changed by contacting Amway Germany in writing or on Amway Online.

Reports:

Reports contain detailed LOS Map with PV/BV information, new application report, etc.

Regular Renewal:
Cost: 32,40 – Euro (including VAT)
Timing: 1 September – 31 December

Late Renewal:
Cost: 40,80 – Euro (including VAT)
Timing: 1 January – 31 August
