Michael Cazer, chief operating officer, joined Amway in 2011. He leads Amway’s executive staff, the company’s top operating team and reports to the Office of the Chief Executive, composed of Amway Chairman Steve Van Andel and President Doug DeVos. He is responsible for the strategic vision, execution and leadership necessary to maintain Amway’s core business growth.
Cazer oversees the development of Amway’s strategy, long-range and annual plans and budgets, and oversees the execution of the company’s operating functions, specifically its four regions as well as sales, marketing, supply chain and R&D.
Cazer has more than 20 years of global financial leadership experience, including chief financial officer positions at Amway, General Electric and Brink’s Co., where he was president of Brink’s European business, the largest business in the company’s portfolio. He led improved operating and financial performance of this region despite a harsh economic climate.
At General Electric (GE), Cazer was chief financial officer of GE Consumer and Industrial Europe and later became the chief financial officer of GE Security, a $2-billion business with more than 6,000 employees and 20 manufacturing facilities around the world. In that role, he helped grow revenues by 80 percent.
Cazer previously served on the boards of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce, in France.
He is a magna cum laude graduate of Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in business and economics.
