As chief financial officer, Nick Thole oversees Amway’s global finance team, which includes accounting, financial planning and reporting, internal audit, treasury, tax and global financial shared services divisions. He also is a member of Amway’s executive staff, the company’s top advisory team to Amway Chairman Steve Van Andel and President Doug DeVos.
Previously, Thole served as the chief financial officer for the company’s Europe, India and Africa region. He also has held the roles of vice president of financial planning and analysis, and, most recently, vice president of internal audit.
Thole joined Amway in 2008 as the manager of mergers and acquisitions, where he played a key role in the addition of Metagenics and the expansion of the XS Energy brand into Japan and Europe.
Before joining Amway, Thole worked in capital markets, first as an investor relations consultant with small-cap New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ-listed companies, and then as an investment banker at Oppenheimer & Co.
Thole received a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in journalism and social science with a concentration in economics in 1996. In 2004, he earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from the Broad School of Management at Michigan State University.
