Peter Strydom, President of Amway Japan, is responsible for all operations in Japan. Strydom reports to Chee Eng Gan, Regional President of APAC and Chairman of Amway China. Strydom serves on Amway’s Executive Staff comprised of cross-functional executive leaders focused on enhancing company culture, talent capabilities and global market needs.
Strydom started with Amway in 1997, the year Amway started operations in his native South Africa, where he served as General Manager. In 2004, he moved to Barcelona, Spain, as Director of Southern Europe covering operations in the markets of Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece. In 2007 he moved to Munich, Germany, to become European Chief Sales Officer. In 2012, he assumed the role of Managing Director of Europe, overseeing more than 20 markets. In 2015, Strydom relocated to Tokyo as President of Amway Japan.
Strydom serves on the Board of the Remember Hope Foundation dedicated to supporting communities devastated by the 2011 Great East Japan Earth-quake and subsequent tsunami. He holds a post-graduate bachelor’s degree from the former University of Natal in South Africa.
