James Ward

James Ward is an entrepreneur with a deep appreciation for art.  He co-owns and co-directs JC Gallery, an art gallery in London, England with his wife, Cassandra DeVos Ward. They opened the gallery together in 2021. JC Gallery represents established and emerging international artists, coupled with artworks from some of the most prominent and acclaimed artists of the twentieth century.

Previously, James managed Clarendon Fine Art, a large commercial gallery in London. There, he focused on contemporary works by artists who were up-and-coming and creating a name in the art world.

James’ interest in art began when he was first employed with the Earl Spencer and served as the General Manager for the Spencer family. Among his many responsibilities in this role, James conducted private tours of the Estate and Althorp House, which houses the largest private art collection in Europe.

James and Cassandra are invested in helping their communities and provide financial support to programs and initiatives focused on medical research, children, and health and wellbeing, primarily in West Michigan and London.

A graduate of the University of Winchester’s King Alfred campus, James earned a bachelor’s degree in performing arts. He has earned certificates from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, predominantly in Art History.

In addition, James owns a café outside of London and enjoys exploring the English countryside with Cassandra in his spare time. James and Cassandra live in London, England.
