Andrew Schmidt is Regional President – West Markets for Amway. He also serves as Managing Director of North America, Amway’s second-largest market, while providing broader leadership for Amway markets in the Americas, Europe, Central Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Schmidt reports to John Parker. President of Amway Markets. He serves on Amway’s Global Leadership Team, the executive decision-making body focused on shaping global strategy, strengthening company culture and enhancing Amway Business Owner (ABO) and customer experiences.
He joined Amway in 2013 as Director of Growth & Business Development for the Americas Region and has since held key leadership roles. As Vice President of Incentives, he led a team of strategists in the redesign of discretionary incentives for ABO in more than 100 countries and territories. In 2020, he was tapped to lead the Amway North America (ANA) market, which includes the U.S., Canada and Dominican Republic.
As Managing Director of ANA, Schmidt partnered with Independent Business Owners (IBOs) to strengthen the ‘Amway Promise’ satisfaction guarantee, led enhancements that offer greater visibility to performance trends, oversaw the total reconstruction of the company’s website and user interface and led development of dozens of new products to better meet the ever-evolving needs of customers and IBOs.
Previously, Schmidt was a strategy consultant for Mars & Co. in New York and Tokyo.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and serves as Vice President of the Engineering Alumni Council of the Pratt School of Engineering. He also serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for the Direct Selling Association and for the Direct Selling Education Foundation.
