A scientific study of wellbeing

Amway provided foundational funding via an unrestricted gift for WELL at its inception in 2014 to advance a holistic view of wellbeing. This game-changing research conducted by Stanford University and supported by Amway is a first-of-its-kind study to clarify how life experience, emotions and biology can impact long-term wellbeing and contribute to our overall health and healthy aging.

So far, findings from the WELL study in the United States, for example, suggest that several factors are linked to well being, associated with lifestyle, health factors, and other personal characteristics.  These include good sleep, more physical activity, time spent in nature, healthy diet, contemplative practices (mind and body), and a rich and diverse gut microbiome.
