Technology leader brings more than 25 years of experience driving global growth and innovation
ADA, MICH., USA, August 4, 2025 – Amway, the world’s largest direct selling company, announced that it has appointed Ryan Talbott as Chief Technology Officer, effective today. Talbott succeeds Chief Financial Officer Becky Smith, who had served as interim Chief Technology Officer for the past several months.
Talbott brings nearly three decades of global experience spanning manufacturing, consumer goods, and technology, with deep expertise in digital solutions, enterprise software, artificial intelligence, analytics, and software product engineering that has transformed organizations with meaningful, measurable success.

Prior to joining Amway, Talbott was Vice President & Global Chief Information Officer for BorgWarner, Inc., where he led high-performing technology teams to grow, improve, and sustain global business operations. He’s also held executive roles at Altimetrik, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (now Stellantis), and Accenture, as well as served as an industry consultant.
As CTO, he will create a strategic roadmap for Amway’s technology infrastructure and accelerate global growth and operational efficiencies through intuitive technology and digital solutions. He will lead a global team of 1,000+ engineering, data, and technology professionals across more than 100 countries and territories where Amway does business to shape the Amway social commerce strategy and enterprise platform innovation.
Harnessing best-in-class data and analytics, Talbott also will provide actionable business insights to ABOs and create the optimal shopping experience for their customers, as well as oversee strategic partnerships with top digital and social technology platforms worldwide, ensuring that all collaborations adhere to enterprise information security standards and practices.

Talbott earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. Volunteering is another passion, and he enjoys being a science and technology advisory board member for Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation, Evanta, HMG Strategy, and InspireCIO.
