Doug DeVos Honored with World Federation of Direct Selling Associations Lifetime Achievement Award

Spend any amount of time with Amway Board of Directors co-chairman Doug DeVos, and you will quickly see that he is a remarkable person with a passion for building relationships and helping others succeed as entrepreneurs. His genuine dedication to family, friends, and colleagues is paired with a bold spirit of ingenuity that continues to push Amway, and the industry, toward its full potential.

Doug brings unity, creativity, innovation, and boldness to his decades of work with the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA), which is why the association has awarded him a Lifetime Achievement Award, the organization’s highest honor.

Doug has carried on a family legacy of service in the direct selling industry – he began attending WFDSA meetings when he was just 14 years old with his father, Amway co-founder Rich DeVos. An upbringing like no other led to a passion for the people he met from all around the world and a firm belief in the power of opportunity.

DeVos’ WFDSA and USDSA Involvement

  • WFDSA Vice Chairman (2017-2020)
  • WFDSA Chairman (2014 – 2017)
  • WFDSA Treasurer (2011-2014)
  • WFDSA Vice Chairman (2008-2011)
  • WFDSA Advocacy Chair (2005-2008)
  • U.S. Direct Selling Association Chairman (2003-2004) and the Direct Selling Education Foundation Chairman, in addition to other leadership roles with both organizations
  • U.S. Direct Selling Association Hall of Fame and Direct Selling Education Foundation’s Circle of Honor Award

Doug is quick to acknowledge the many partnerships and friendships forged during his time working with the WFDSA, including time spent working alongside his father Rich DeVos and brother Dick DeVos. “I’m grateful to have the opportunity to work with so many special people who are part of this industry who I deeply respect. As we look at the marketplace today and all that we’ve gone through, our industry remains strong. We can keep moving forward, adapting to market forces, be successful, and offer tremendous opportunity to people, together. I have a great appreciation for all that have gone before me and I’m honored to receive this award,” remarked DeVos.

Now, more than ever, people want more independence and the freedom to set their own goals. They want meaningful work that adds value to their lives and to their communities. Amway’s current CEO, Milind Pant, is grateful for DeVos’ dedication to driving Amway and the industry forward. “What an amazing lifetime achievement for Doug! He is a guru for me, and a whole generation of leaders across Amway and across the entire direct selling industry. His huge heart for entrepreneurship, and the inclusive opportunity that this industry offers, is truly inspiring,” said Pant

Doug joins his father Rich DeVos and brother Dick DeVos who have also received Lifetime Achievement Awards from the WFDSA. The entire Amway family is grateful for Doug’s leadership and dedication, and we wish him heartfelt congratulations on receiving this award.
