ADA, MICH. (Feb. 26, 2018) – The Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) today named Amway Chief Supply Chain Officer George Calvert as its Board chairman. Calvert has served on the PCPC’s board of directors since 2009 and previously chaired the organization’s task force for federal cosmetics reform, seeking to modernize existing U.S. regulation.

“I’m looking forward to working with an organization that’s a strong advocate for our industry and has been for 124 years,” said Calvert. “With customers’ increased desire for transparency in products, we will continue to underscore our strong commitment to product and ingredient safety.”

Calvert’s dedication to innovative, quality products began when he joined Amway in 1989. Since then, he served in various positions in product development and quality assurance. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the College of William and Mary, and a doctorate in analytical chemistry from the University of South Carolina.
