Ada, Mich., USA – (May 5, 2017) – Amway has been named a 2017 Safer Choice Partner of the Year Award winner by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The award recognizes Amway for its outstanding achievement in the formulation and manufacturing of products with ingredients that are safer for families, workplaces, communities, and the environment.

Products that meet the EPA’s Safer Choice Standard may print and promote the Safer Choice label on packaging and promotions.
More than 40 Amway laundry, surface, and dish care products have qualified for the Safer Choice seal by the EPA.
When the Safer Choice label appears on a product, it means that the EPA has evaluated each ingredient in the product for potential human health and environmental effects and that the product contains only those ingredients that pose the least concern among chemicals in their class.
Selection of Partner of the Year Awards winners is based on activities that increase awareness of the Safer Choice program, including Safer Choice-labeled products, and promotion of the program’s mission to help safeguard human and environmental health through safer chemistry and safer products.
The Safer Choice Partner of the Year Awards recognize stakeholder organizations from five broad categories. Amway was acknowledged in the Formulators/Product Manufacturers category.
Partner of the Year Award Winners represent a wide variety of leadership organizations, including Fortune 500 companies as well as small- and medium-sized businesses.
