Health and wellbeing company commits to $100 million investment in its people and West Michigan community
ADA, Mich., March 5, 2024 – Amway, an entrepreneur-led health and wellbeing company, today reported sales of $7.7 billion USD for the year ending December 31, 2023. This represents an overall decline of 5 percent from 2022 sales due to the strength of the US dollar and continued impact from the ceasing of operations in Russia in 2022.
“Amway is committed to empowering millions of Amway Business Owners (ABOs) to help a billion people improve their healthspan – or the number of years they are healthy and feeling their best,” said Amway Chief Executive Officer Milind Pant. “We do this by providing ABOs with innovative products, programs and solutions that allow them to pursue their own holistic wellbeing and help others in their communities do the same.”
Health and wellbeing has been at Amway’s core for decades. Amway’s 90-year-old Nutrilite, the world’s No. 1* selling vitamins and dietary supplements brand, accounted for 60 percent of the company’s global sales in 2023. Additionally, Amway’s nutrition category grew 3 percent** as the company deepens its focus on health and wellness—including healthy weight, fitness, healthy aging, and skin health—equipping ABOs with scientifically backed programs and tailored product solutions.
Investing in People and West Michigan
In partnership with employees and ABOs around the world, Amway will continue to create and invest in communities that value collaboration, foster innovative thinking and nurture wellbeing.
In Amway’s hometown of Ada, Michigan U.S., the company will invest more than $100M in its manufacturing capabilities, new manufacturing equipment and facility improvements over the next three years. This investment includes state-of-the-art nutritional tableting capabilities at its Spaulding facility, and Pilot and Quality Control Labs at the company’s World Headquarters designed to expedite the development and testing of the next generation of nutritional products for ABOs.
Additionally, Amway will continue to invest in the local community and its employees with campus revitalization projects including renovation of nearly 90,000 sq. ft. of refreshed collaboration spaces. Amway is committed to providing an environment that supports wellbeing by creating meaningful opportunities for employees to come together as one community. Part of this community space includes a new cafeteria and marketplace to help employees be their best, healthiest selves. In addition to a new central campus entrance to welcome home ABOs from around the globe opening in 2024, Amway will continue to explore new opportunities to enhance the employee and visitor experience on its Ada campus in the coming years.
