Family first

“I normally manage my schedule to work at night so I can have a lot of time to spend with my children during the day.”

Paradee
Thailand, 11 years

Making it work

Paradee wants to be a successful businesswoman and a successful mother, but her children are her first priority.

“I normally manage my schedule to work at night so I can have a lot of time to spend with my children during the day,” she said. “When someone asks me what I’m doing in my free time, I will say I don’t have any hobby. My hobby is playing with my kids.”

But mobile technology and the flexibility of the Amway business allow her to take her work anywhere, whether it’s the dining room table, the coffee shop or her front yard. She considers herself a caring leader and a problem solver and hopes her children grow up to admire and respect her for that, just as she admires her parents.

“My parents—they are my idols. They are my heroes,” she said. “I want my children to look at me as their idol too.”

Interview

Interviewer: What goals are you working toward to live a healthier life?
Paradee: Making myself stronger every day. I want to be healthy as much as I can because I want to live with my children as long as I can.

I: Who is someone you look up to or who inspires you? Why?
P: My Parents. They are the real self-made businesspeople. They are not from a very wealthy background, but I could have a very good quality of life because they have been working so hard. They are my heroes. I want to be just like my parents.

I: How does your personality come across in the way you build your Amway business?
P: I’ve always been taught to always think of others, and do not do to others what I also don’t like. This makes me see the clearer picture of the Amway philosophy and helps me grow the business.

Amway is in the United States and 100+ markets worldwide.
